With the programme "Wandel macht Schule" we support local initiatives and projects from civil society that engage with innovative ideas in the area of education. Applications for funding can be submitted for up to 1,000 euros. A budget of 10,000 euros is available each year.
€10,000
School Year 2018/19
District Lörrach
€ 100 - 1,100
Through our “Wandel macht Schule” initiative, we provide start-up cash to support innovative and sustainable ideas that enable schools in the Lörrach area to develop. Projects that lead to long-term, fair educational opportunities, promote the sustainable development of a school and increase opportunities and potential should not be allowed to fail simply because of a lack of funding. The “Wandel macht Schule” initiative provides a straightforward and rapid way to obtain a grant of from €100 up to a maximum of €1,000 to turn ideas into reality. An annual total of €10,000 will be allocated to this initiative.
It is often teachers, pupils and schools themselves that are best placed to recognise opportunities and needs. If someone has an idea on how to improve school life or further develop a school, the Schöpflin Foundation will provide financial support to turn the idea into a reality and ensure that the idea has a sustainable effect on the school in question.
The aim of this initiative is to help schools – as they make small or large changes from within - become centres for the development of potential. We are more likely to support projects that enable pupils, regardless of their background, to bring out the best in themselves; or projects that give pupils access to the widest possible network of people. We will also consider funding those projects that make a sustainable contribution to the every-day life of a school, as well as smaller projects that provide an impulse for further measures, or those projects that are the building blocks of bigger change.
