Schöpflin Foundation joins F20 platform

In the future, the Schöpflin Foundation will be part of F20, an international platform with already over 60 foundations and philanthropic organizations from all over the world. F20 (Foundations 20) was established on the occasion of the German G20 presidency in 2017 on the initiative of the Stiftung Zukunftsfähigkeit (Foundation of Sustainability) and a group of German foundations.

The platform's aim is to encourage foundations to use their own operational and funding activities to support the implementation of the Paris Climate Convention and to advance Agenda 2030 with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Another central concern is to intensify transnational cooperation between foundations and philanthropic organizations in order to achieve greater impact together.

Particularly in the context of the annual G20 summits, the platform seeks to initiate social change processes in the area of climate protection and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and to outline ways to solve the most pressing challenges of our time. It advocates "a transformation that leaves no one behind" and a fair transition towards sustainable development based on renewable energies.
