What does Balanced Economy Project do?

Balanced Economy Project is an international organization dedicated to protecting democracy and tackling excessive concentrations of economic and financial power. It is BEP’s goal is to hold powerful corporations to account and to reclaim the ability of present and future generations to continually restructure our economies, by collectively constraining corporate power. BEP is part of a growing and busy network of activists, experts and practitioners.

Why have we awarded a grant to Balanced Economy Project?

BEP has been founded only in 2021. Founded by two renowned anti-monopoly experts, Michelle Meagher and Nicolas Shackxson, the BEP is playing a mayor part in driving the global anti-monopoly movement. The Balanced Economy Project will be co-hosting the first ever global convention, in November 2023, bringing together anti-monopoly activists, practicioners, and experts from across the globe.

What is our mutual goal?

We want to bring a global anti-monopoly movement up to speed. The objectives of the convention are to bring together, for the first time, anti-monopoly activists, practicioners, and experts from across the globe, to co-create and articulate a shared vision and to make connections with the potential of growing an anti-monopoly movement.
