What does Headliner do?

Headliner is the first non-profit organization in Germany to combine journalism and culture in exciting stage shows. This new trend is called live journalism and is filling theaters around the world. In Germany, the trend is still in its infancy. Headliner wants to change this. During the shows, carefully curated journalistic content is presented in front of a live audience. The direct contact between audience members and journalists makes a decisive contribution to restoring the steadily declining trust in the media.

 

 

 

 

Why are we awarding a grant to Headliner?

For many years, the Schöpflin Foundation has been supporting journalistic projects and initiatives that aim to positively shape the future of the media landscape with innovation and a focus on the common good and find answers to the "media crisis". Headliner's stage shows make an important contribution to this.

What is our mutual goal?

The funding allows Headliner to further develop and professionalize the two formats "Reporter Siam" and "JIVE" (a combination of "journalism" and "live"), with the aim of establishing the events and making them known to a wider audience.
