What does Interalia do?

The interalia gGmbH is a non-profit organization based in Freiburg im Breisgau. As a fiscal host, interalia supports people who come together to shape social change — in initiatives, collectives, or projects. Their approach is simple: they start where there is already movement and provide »critical infrastructure« that supports these movements and enables a long-term perspective.

Why have we awarded a grant to Interalia?

As a fiscal host, Interalia offers civil society initiatives stable structures and strengthens their capacity to act. At the same time, Interalia promotes the development of networks, knowledge exchange, and cooperation — key objectives of the program area »Backbone & Relations«.

What is our mutual goal?

Our common goal is to empower movements without necessarily institutionalizing them. Sustainability can arise when activists and volunteers encounter structures that support them rather than hinder them. Together, we want to create resilience through relationships — sharing knowledge, distributing responsibility, and using resources fairly.
