As part of the summer celebration, employees of the Schöpflin Foundation celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the new »Haus für alle« (»House for Everyone«) in Lörrach. This marks another milestone on the way towards creating a place that will provide space for meeting, exchange, creativity and shared engagement in the future.

Together, the employees filled a time capsule, which has now been placed in the foundation of the future building. Sealed inside the capsule are wishes for the new building, the park and the district of Brombach, creative contributions from students at the Schöpflin School, a current daily newspaper, and coins as historical records of our present day.

Over the coming months, the floors of the building will gradually rise. This will be followed by the interior fit-out and the installation of the building’s technical systems. From autumn onwards, a new park with a range of opportunities for meeting, exercise and recreation will also be created on the site.

Over the course of the summer, local residents and other interested visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the current status of the construction project at a construction-site apéro.
