What does JoinPolitics do?

JoinPolitics finds, promotes and accompanies political talents on their way into politics. The start-up assistance consists of financial support as well as a customized training program, mentoring and coaching, and numerous community and networking opportunities. JoinPolitics believes that our democracy thrives on doers who set new impulses, especially in times of crisis: Impact-oriented, cooperative, innovative, guided by values that fill the political space with life.

Why are we awarding a grant to JoinPolitics?

In Germany, we are not sufficiently successful in getting people with different life backgrounds into influential political positions and in mirroring the diversity of our society in politics. For example, people with migration experience or women are underrepresented. At the same time, the ability to collaborate across party lines is not sufficiently practiced in existing structures. The JoinPolitics team wants to change that by rethinking the cross-party empowerment of young politicians.

What is our mutual goal?

We are convinced that the participation of diverse perspectives is crucial for the success of the social transformation of the coming decades and for a democracy with a future. The funding will be used to scale a training program for political talent and to further build the non-profit entity JoinPolitics gGmbH. Together we want to achieve more diversity and more innovation in politics.
